Answer: To be compliant to the standard, Internet Explorer limits the number of connections to one web server.
Depending on the type of server, the number of connections is limited to 2 or 4. This tweak removes this limit. Note that your browser will no longer be compliant. But it will be lots faster. Go to the registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\
Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
Look for the following values:

MaxConnectionsPerServer
MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server

If they don't exist, create them as DWORD values. Set these values to the number of simultaneous connections you want to allow. A good value is 50. Download reg file
